Hajveiri's Kashf-ul-Mahjoob and Rumi's Mathnavi, prominent Persian mystical texts, were written about two centuries apart and are linked to each other in various intellectual and mystical fields. The present study aims to investigate the intertextual relationships between these two works and to explain how elements of the earlier text are present and recreated in the later text. The research method is descriptive-analytical and comparative, and its theoretical framework is based on the principles of intertextuality of Kristeva and Barthes, and especially the theory of transtextuality of Gerard Genette. The findings show that the intertextual relationships between the two works can be identified at the conceptual, thematic, narrative, and personality levels. At the conceptual level, concepts such as Sufi and purity, research and imitation, success, causality, wonder, love, Sharia, and truth are reflected in both works; At the narrative level, stories such as Baaz and the Old Woman, Haritha/Zayd, Fadhil Iyad, and Shibli/Zul-Nun are among the most important examples. The analysis shows that Rumi, in dealing with the previous mystical heritage, while preserving some elements, transformed, expanded, and recreated them; therefore, the presence of Kashf al-Mahjoob in the Masnavi cannot be reduced to mere imitation or direct transmission. In summary, the analysis of these examples shows that the presence of Kashf al-Mahjoob in the Masnavi cannot be reduced to imitation or direct quotation; in dealing with the previous mystical heritage, Rumi, while preserving some recognizable elements, reinterprets, transforms, and recreates them in a new context.
