Love as the most fundamental theme in romantic literature holds a prominent position in the Mathnawi of Hosn and Del by Sibak Nishapuri Composed in an allegorical and symbolic style this work employs personification of romantic elements and illustrates the stages of love from inception to union reflecting concepts such as detachment from worldly attachments spiritual transcendence and immortality The primary elements of the poem including Hassan Beauty Del HeartNazar Gaze and Eshq Love alongside the apparent and hidden manifestations of the beloved have created a coherent allegorical structure

The present study employing a descriptive-analytical method based on library research examines the reflection of themes such as love separation union and romantic suffering in this work Furthermore it explores the roots of these romantic elements their manner of manifestation in the text Sibak Nishapuri’s perspective on the concept of love the poem’s allegorical system and its influence on other literary works Findings indicate that Hosn and Del in addition to its romantic and mystical themes utilizes imaginative epic and mythological elements ranking it among the most significant allegorical and symbolic Mathnawis in Persian literature. In this work earthly and divine love are intricately interwoven thus Sibak Nishapuri can be regarded as a poet who by utilizing symbolic language and the Mathnawi form presents a mysterious narrative of the soul’s journey toward perfection thereby creating an enduring masterpiece in the Persian literary tradition
